playlist not in order

I searched for an answer to this and didn't see one so please don't tell me to search again. thanks so much.
I know I'm doing something wrong. I put a new playlist in. Then in the box that shows all the items in the playlist, which is under the preview panel, I drag all the videos into the correct order. No matter how many times I redo it it always plays out of order the same way. video 1 video 6 video 2 video 7 and so on. what else am I supposed to do to make it play in the correct order?
thanks
Melissa

On the right side of the screen is a window called PLAYLIST PROPERTIES.

Make sure that the PLAY MODE is in Sequential, not Random.

Just wondering... When you say the items are playing out of order, are you letting them play all the way through or are you using the Next Chapter button on your remote (or player) to skip through the playlist?

To the best of my knowledge, a playlist works similar to end actions -- the player figures out where to go next after it reaches the end of an item. But if you use the Next Chapter button, the player doesn't get to the end, so it just goes to whichever file is next on the disc. By default, files are put on the disc in the order in which you added them to your project. Playlists just "jump around" the disc to play the files in the order you want -- if you let the playlist play uninterrupted.

What you could try is changing the order of the titles in your project. Assuming you're using DVDA Pro, go to File > Order Titles.
