Plays in some, not in others

I am having extremely unreliable results making CDs with CD
Architect and my Smart and Friendly CD burner.

Every audio CD I have made plays PERFECTLY on the PC. But
when I play it in other CD players some work and some
don't. It will play perfect in the car but poor or not at
all in my home stereo. It will play in a "boom box" but
not in a Walkman. If the CD is being made to "Red Book"
standards how come some players read it and others don't?

I've tried all different brands of media; gold, silver,
green at all different speeds and get the same results -
unreliable! Unless I play the CD in several different
machines and listen to every track, I don't know if the
disk is any good. This is horrible! What's wrong?
