My system is a Pentium 3 600, 128MB, 30 GB System drive, 40 GB Video drive, and an generic OCHI Compliant IEEE 1394 Card. I am having a few quirks that is holding up a lot of progress with my productions. First of all I can capture video with the video capture software fine and everything looks great, but when I go to play it back in video capture or try to preview on camera or even record to camera I get an error. Even when it does try to play back the picture is not clear, but has lines all across it and the image is not clear as if there is a problem with the drivers. I went to SF’s website and upgraded my video capture and direct x as needed, but this didn’t help with my situation. Even when I render a video in Vegas and want to record back to tape video capture won’t record it back to tape it just freezes up. As of this morning after the upgrade Vegas video won’t let me view any clips it gives me an error stating: Exception 0xC0000005 (access violation) READ:0xFFFFFFFF IP:0x5F9C8333
In Module 'AVIPLUG.DLL'. Thanks for your help and support!

Try this -

1. Search for AVIPLUG.DLL using the Windows search/find function.

2. Rename it to AVIPLUG.OLD

3. Reinstall Vegas.

Please contact tech support if this does not work.

I have a slightly different problem with the Vidcap25 progam but I get the same error message ( I posted it on the site, see below). Any advide S.F.???

MoBetta

I upgraded to V.V. 2.0h and to VF Vidcap25 and I am now experiencing dropped frames during capture (my system: Pentiumlll, 600MHz, 256 RAM).
-First, capture keeps recording for an additional 2-3 sec. after pressing the “stop recording” button.
-Capture splits a single captured event into additional events, depending on the number of scenes being captured, and drops frames at the beginning of each additional event. Vidcap25 will not record seamlessly between two scenes from the DV tape.
