PLEASE HELP!!

so i have installed the sony vegas movie studio on my laptop and ive done all the registration and everything but as soon as i try and open sony vegas it will pop up as if its opening and then it will say 'sony vegas movie studio 8.0 has stopped working'.....any suggestions??

This could be caused by a few things. My first suspect would be another app (already open) utilising your audio drivers.

It could also be other things too (DEP is another contender for some).

Be methodical and clear.- restart machine, don't load anything else. Now try VMS. Does it still error?
