mpeg 2 encoding problem.
I got a (1.5 hour) movie in dv format that I want to render to mpeg 2 dvd pal format, but after almost 20 minuts of video vegas video 3 just stop rendering and says "error rendering media file, error could not be determened..
I have tried uninstalling vegas video 3- and reinstalling the newest on - vv3c.
But still after 20 minuts it just stops rendering and it says the same message.
I have also tried other file as sorce (mpeg 2 files)but when
I render them too I get the same message after, between 18 - 20 minuts.
Wat can be the problem?
PLEASE HELP... thanks if you do so.
Vighnesh.

Sounds like the 4gb limitation on FAT32 formatted drives. I thought VV was supposed to get around this someway, but I'm not really sure how. I'm sure some person more knowledgeable and experienced in these matters than myself will let you know how to do it. I think you could change over to NTSF, but wait until someone who knows what they're doing answers your question..

Call Vegas Video support or email them from the SoFo site. Include all the info they request regarding your system. They will normally respond in 24 hours.

do you have an Athlon processor?

I think I know where you're headed.
I have an Athlon, and I have 3 fans to keep it from overheating.
One fan brings air in the front, one exhausts it out the back and one on the processor.
You think this could be his problem?
