PLEASE HELP.. big pitch-related problems

My friend is using vegas 2.0b. There's something that bugs us. When we right mouseclick on a track an
select properties, select change length and pitch, type in for example +5 semitones and press ok.
When we go back to the same place afterwards, the number has changed to +4 semitones and 42
cents. What is this?? We've used vegas before, and never experienced any problems..

I'm not getting a repro here. 5 = 5. Make sure you hit ok -
closing the dialog with the "X" doesn't make the change.

you know, you're reminding me that I've experienced similar
weirdness with manually adjusting pitch in the properties
page. Now I'll have to go check that out to repro for
sure...
