Please help!! Can't get voiceover & video to sync

Hi all!

Sony Movie Studio Platinum 13

I recorded a cooking video and am now trying to do the recorded voice over.
I figured out got to record the voice over. now when I go to play the video with the recorded voice. The voice is extremely fast and high pitched. I can't seem to figure out how to slow it down to normal speed.

please help!! thank you!!

Chances are, another open application (your recording program?) has hijacked your audio drivers.
Turn off any other applications that might be using your audio, close and re-open Vegas.

Does your voice-over event (your audio clip on the timeline) have a zig-zag line running through it? Maybe you accidentally stretched/compressed the audio event so that it plays at fast speed.

How did you record the voice-over? With Vegas, or some other application? Maybe there are issues with sample rates that Vegas isn't understanding.
