Please help...I can't print to tape

I am using Vegas for the first time. I have a ATI TV wonder card, and I have a regular cable cord running to the video card from my VCR. It captures video fine, but I can not get the video back to my VCR to put it on video tape.
Can I do that?
I am really frustrated because I have been figuring this program out for the past week and getting along very slowly. Do I have to have a firewire or can I go from my capture card to my VCR. I am recording back through the capture program, and everytime I try to print to tape it says, "An Invalid Device was Specified." What am I doing wrong, and what can I do to get my video to tape?
Please help me out!!!!!

Sonds like you are rendering with the wrong settings for print to tape with the ATI card. The render settings should exactly match the parameters of the captured clips.

Search this forum for "ATI" or "All in Wonder"- I'll bet you'll find the render and system config settings you need if you look through the posts.
