i´ve got a MPG2 video PAL captuded from VHS , the video and audio are perfect sinchronized. I´ve equalized the audio and i asign 5.1 to this audio. After that I go to render the result to MPG2 DVD PAL 25 fps variable bitrate. The result is the video & audio are desinchronized.

Okay,

First of all, you DON'T HAVE TO SHOUT. Second, your posts are a few minutes apart from each other. Third, the time says 4:22 a.m.!! I'd venture to say the population on this forum is a little slim at that time of the day. Take a deep breath, get some sleep and you'll get some help after sunup in these parts....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

If you used the edit program nanoedit that comes with the Hauppage to splice two video clips together, it could be the problem-its tends to slip audio a second at the joint on the post joint portion.

If I understand correctly, you captured to mpg2, did the audio stuff in vegas, used the mainconcept encoder in vegas, got a file that was out of sync.

First off, if your proj is intended for tv, try it on a tv before doing anything to verify the sync prob.

If the audio is uniformly out of sync, in other words 300 ms beginning to end for example, then you can chenge the header or flags in the file to change the audio or video delay at start. You should also be able to demux the 2 streams, then remux with delay set, or alter the audio length and re-mux.

If the delay varies, starts out in sync and drifts, have heard of this happening here in forum editing mpg2 video encoded with various apps. - editing mpg2 is not really recomended. Might try splitting the tracks at several points on the timeline to try and force sync at those points, or you can use something like dvd2avi & vfapi to serve the video to vegas before encoding.
