Please Make Auto Preview Play Button stay on, when restarting

Joe-is-Hungry-Channel wrote on 12/27/2025, 11:42 AM

For several versions, this feature is default to off when restarting Vegas. Not sure why the Vegas Gods in their infinite wisdom decided to turn that to default off. Just another annoyance. something else I need to turn on every time I restart. PLEASE GUYS FIX THIS, just done flame me for suggesting something might need to be improved.

@Joe-is-Hungry-Channel In build VP23 build 302 my Auto Preview button stays on when restarting Vegas, but it doesn't function unless the Enable Hub Scrub Trimming is also on.

You have confused me, I have a perpetual license. I don't use the hub. In fact I have licenses for all versions going back to 13.

@Joe-is-Hungry-Channel Sorry for the incorrect name of that other button. It's the "Enable Hover Scrub Trimming" button. It's about 4 buttons over to the right of the Auto Preview button.

Yeah, I see that, that is in the project media window not the explorer window. I like to preview stuff before adding to the project so I primarily use the explorer window and only enter Project media to remove media from a project . Having it on does not seem to have any effect on on the Auto preview button stay on when restarting. Thanks for taking time to show me that.

yeah I understand that, I just buy each version out of reflex, The main reason I use 23 and 22 together is that 23 auto refreshes the file explorer and the color grading screen is a little better and a couple other things. 23 renders a little slower but mostly I want to save clicks. Well thanks for let me know that I am not alone in noticing some of the annoying little things they remove do that makes no sense. Well we will see if they have their listening ears on concentrate on more of the basic features rather than some of the fancy stuff I never in a million years use.

Take care and stay in touch

There are tons of NLEs out there that do pretty much the same things, I think there focus needs to be making a very stream line process. That is how they will hold there own against the competition..
