Hey eveyone, Got ver 2.0 vegas audio. Got Soundscape Mixtreme card. Win XP/ 2 scuzzies 10k rpm, raid, 517 ram, My temp file is on my recording drive and eveything....but when I press play one or more of my tracks sometimes stutter and start later on playback....Very annoying for my clients who record here. It also gives an error message... "an unexpected error during playback" or sometimes "could not mix audio" or " a timeout error has occured during playback"
HELP!!! PLEASE!!!! Thanks. Dave

try reloading your audio drivers

Make sure everything is setup right within your program. Go to options, preferences... Then under the audio tab (I hope it's the same in Vegas Audio 2.0, I don't really remember though) and put the audio device type to Microsoft Sound Mapper (That's what's in Vegas Video 3.0).

Make sure your hard drive is defragmented, that could be your culprit right there.

Another thing I used to do in the past was when recording I would disable stuff like my Ethernet card, so not used by the program. Also another thing you could do is bring down your screen resolution to 800 x 600 and the least amount of color... If that doesn't work... You got a driver problem buddy!
