I am using a SONY HDR-SR1 AVCHD camera that has a 4 channel built in mic. For 5.1 I believe it derives the center from L & R. I have a Boom MIc in the HOT Shoe which actually creates the center cahnnel, then providing for 5 mics & discreet channels.

I know when I edited a significant amount of my older video that I was able to get 5 channels onto the timeline. Now I all I get is 2 to show up on the timeline. I have searhed and not found an answer. I also have tried everything i can think of.....can someone PLEASE offer some suggestions to me??
