Plug-in

We're doing a marketing consultancy for a software company exploring the potential of porting their current products over to Vegas. I'm currently not at liberty to say who they are, but I WOULD like input from folks about what plugins they WISH they had for Vegas. Audio or video, as this company currently does both with a heavy lean to the video side of things.
So, if you could have ANY sort of plugin for Vegas, what would it be? What would they be?

Spot,
I'd love to see a 'SteadyHand' kind of plug-in. I know a while back we approached the SteadyMove folks, but I guess not much has transpired there.

If anything else comes to mind, I'll post.

Cheers,
Tom

Kodachrome II, Ecktachrome, 5247 print, etc.

An automatic color corrector ala Avid. Also like to see something like Shine (the Sony Light Rays doesn't always cut it)

I second the "Shine" and add wondertouch particle illusion.

I'm a big fan of discreet, but lack the big bucks necessary for their higher end programs. But, I would like to see some plug-ins that accomplish the same things as Smoke's tracker and bicubic features. Maybe some vector painting and particle effects, or pretty much anything you can find in smoke or combustion :o) I know these are probably things that would need to be integrated directly into vegas, but just putting my wishes out there!

1- Synthetic Aperture makes a great color correction tool. I wish this was ported to vegas

2-It would be convenient of Steadyhand ported to vegas, too.

3-Does anybody make a decent white balance tool to port to V5?

4-Photoshop has some miraculous 3rd party plugins that would be great to have in V5: Focalblade, curvemeister (V5's histogram is horrible)

I would also love to see an auto color correction tool

I would like to see an easier to use Sound Reduction, a DeShaker, Motion TRACKER, Auto White Balance, and a top-flight TITLER.

WHITE BALANCE function along the lines of the Avid color corrector, but based on the calibration of the monitor--allows cuts not only to match each other but all cuts would match a common 'language' of what color is white.

I'd say motion tracking..

Deshaker and auto white balance.

Steadyhand, Particle illusion +
I had actually just sent an email to Panopticom if they are planning porting their plugs to Vegas, I really like some of their plugs that are only avail to Adobe products.

As much as I appreciate the sound tools that Vegas has, it is a Video program and I don't use half of the sound stuff its got already.

I suppose this isn't exactly a plug in, but I wish the Vegas titler had a feature that REMEMBERS the previous usage settings. I hate to go in and have to remove the yellow outline, make it black and then click on the shadow again. I would also like a way to see the font without clicking it onto the screen first. Time wasted. Should be simple solutions.

A KICKASS user friendly plugin titler - NOT standalone and/or a GOOD movie looks plug.
B.Verlik wrote on 10/15/2004, 6:19 PM
I would like to see a really good 3-D titler with lots of options, and of course, simple and quick to use.

I would love the ability to be able to load after effetcs plugins. Dont know how possible this is but it would be sweet.

That would be Cayman Graphics. http://www.caymangraphics.com

I love it, the output is absolutely exceptional and the Vegas plugin version is in beta currently, properly designed no less.

It's been a long time since I was so happy with the quality of a software product.

These guys have 20 years experience with broadcast titling and it shows.

They have a full testversion (watermarked) that you can try for free.

1. Temporal denoiser, like Pixie dust, but much faster.
2. Spatial denoiser (there is a free plugin)
3. Deshaker (but not Steadyhand, which is a marginal product -- Deshaker is better).
4. Titler.

If they compose their music in-house, VSTi and MIDI support.

Couldn't resist the opportunity to put a "plug in" for my biggest Vegas wish.

I'd like to see a DV deartefactor, and a motion tracker.
