I've seen the previous post on the hidden event FX window being below the Windows taskbar, but I think I have a different problem. My Plug-in Chooser window is not hidden below the taskbar, in fact, when I get the window to appear, it is dead smack in the middle of the screen, but the only way I can get the window to show is if I "Alt - Tab" through all open programs, back to Vegas, and suddenly the window appears (not off to the side or below the task bar).
I tried re-positioning the window and even docking it to make sure, but still does the same thing.
When I click on the Event FX icon on a particular event on the timeline, it opens the Video Event FX window, but the Plug-in Chooser window is not visible.
At that point I can't click on anything in any of the open Vegas windows. I get that standard Windows "ding" like you get when you are trying to click on something other that the open active dialogue window, and Windows is trying to tell you, you need to make a selection in that window first before you can do anything else. This is what makes me believe my issue is different than the original posts on this subject. I am not able to slide, move or change any window sizes in Vegas until I do the Alt - Tab thing.
It must be something I inadvertently clicked on because this only started happening when I "fat fingered" a couple of keys while editing a project. Since then it always acts this way. It's not a big deal since I can force the window to appear by doing the Alt - Tab thing, but is does get a bit annoying after a while. I tried checking into some of the preferences settings, to no avail.
Sorry for the long post, and I hope it wasn't too confusing.
