That would be extremely nice of you if you could build some plug-in for VV3. I can't help at all 'cause I don't know anything about programming, I only know how to make a custom made PC and to trouble shoot MS OS crapolas.

But I just have something to ask: Why don't you just test one out with MS development tools first and make a working plug-in for all of us to see, then maybe this can be the beginning of a major plug-in making colaboration from many of the VV3 users out there. I am sure there are other programmers who edit videos with VV3 and wish to do something just like you but haven't had the chance to start. Go for it, you have nothing to loose man :)

For some reason, the forum software is not letting me post my whole reply in one message, so I'm splitting it...

Not that we are aware of.

I would think so, provided said compiler is capable of doing COM-style programming, and can work with Microsoft's DirectX API / SDK. You will probably have to install the DirectX SDK. Our video plug-in development kit (VPIDK) sample is ATL-based, but that's not a requirement to doing a plug-in.

I hear you <g>.

That's mighty nice of you. What did you have in mind? Transition, filter, generator? You seem like a pretty bright guy, based on your posts, so I'm looking forward to hearing about what kind of plug-ins you're thinking about.

To start, you'll want to download and read the VPIDK, and email us if you have any questions (there's an address in the VPIDK). At this point, I can't promise a ton of support for a non-MS dev environment, mostly because I'd be promising the time of other people, but I think there might be enough interest to help out with a few problems. In other words, we don't have the resources to port the VPIDK to a bunch of compilers, but you decide to take that on, we might be able to help out along the way.

P.S. To ped: "Fields and Frames of Dreams" I believe was the movie, or, something like that <g>.
