Grazie wrote on 12/7/2004, 12:55 PM
Just sent a "Japanese Water Colour" type thingy Plug-In to Edward for upload . . . Once it is there try ading this to any branches showing in contrasdt sky .. Try moving the three "links" of the chain around and see what happens! . . .I'm gonna do more of these and share 'em about . . . It JUST WORKS! ! ! !

I think I've found an easy and sexy way to get an effect I want .. easily . . .

I may not be getting a HD cammie , , , but maybe I can give something back to this great forum . .in my way . .. :)

My best regards . ..

Grazie

Totally easy. Downloaded, opened with Project Manager 2.0. Exported to System. And there it is, the whole chain ready to be dropped on somethin'. Gonna have a look tonight. Darryl

OK guys. Am I missing something here? What exactly do I do with the file I download. Must be having a senior moment. Oh well...

Cheers,
Tom

Go here:

http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/download/step2.asp?DID=469

Download and install Preset Manager 2.0. Right click your Grazie file and open with PM2.0.
Your downloaded PM will be in the Program Files-Sony-Utilities folder. It includes a brief readme file with instructions on how to use it. It will open and export the preset chain into the Vegas "Plug-in Manager" in the View menu.

I'm getting REALLY annoyed here.

I downloaded Grazie's presets and doubleclicked them to open them in the preset manager.

Then I selected the "add to system".

Then they appeared under "filter packages along with one I made myself.

When I click and "add" it doesn't and says no plugins in chain.

I dragged them from the "plugin manager" and it looked like it was, but nothing was there.

I tried to delete them (from preset manager) to try to install them again, but I can't delete them.

What's going on?

Well?

Nickle, try downloading again? . . Apart from this and the fact that others have had success .. I can't say. You can "see" the effect of one of the Presets over at Chienworks site -

http://www.vegasusers.com/vidshare/textdisp?dgrob-1spt010

. . and you can see it working.

Try downloading again . .yeah? :(

Nickle I just "dragged" my newest from the Plug-in Manager directly onto an Event and BOSH! It's there . . PLUS the 3 links of the chain: 1xMedian: 1 x Glow: 1 x Glow.

I can't imagine what's gone away.

This is indeed perplexing.

I already re-downloaded them (in case mine were corrupted) with the same result.

I made my own fx chain and saved it in the "filter package" and it jumps to the fx chain no problem. Or I can drag it onto an event and it works.

I made another chain and saved it with preset manager and it works no problem.

I can see yours in the "filter package" (a chain icon then GB DJ)
Same for the others.
But I can't do anything with them other than rename them by right-clicking.

Got me beat! - :(

The "GB DJ" has got: 1 x Timecode : 1 x Chroma Keyer . . just done it - it works here .. The Timecode appears. I can't repeat the error you are getting.

I wiped out Vegas and reinstalled everything.

Class action lawsuit upcoming.

Defendants will be Grazie, Jetdv, Larry and this is my brother Darryl, and this is my other brother Darryl.

Something is askew. I just "export to system" the latest chain from Grazie, opened a project, dragged the "Japanese Water Color" to the first event, and badda, bing - badda boom! There it is. I'm going to look through the manual, perhaps something in the export to system?

BTW, you can reach my other attorney, Darryl, at www.fatchance.com.

The good thing is that I just made a new disk image so I can screw it up again.

Another good thing is that www.fatchance.com is up for sale so obviously your lawyer ran off with your retainer.

Justice.
