Plugins and CPU Usage

If a default plugin (EQ, Compressor, Gate) is enabled,
meaning its check box is checked, but it is not in use; is
it utilizing CPU cycles? Asked another way, should I
uncheck the default processors even if their settings are
not actually changed from the "new track" state?

I hope I'm being clear enough. Thanks in advance for any
guidance. Remarkable application. . .

Good question!

Along that same line, is there a way to have Vegas Default to no
track plugins at all?

We do have various "defaultX.veg" files set up whereby we can
customize for different scenarios that serve the same purpose, but if
there is a way to do that in a configuration screen I've missed it.

Gentlemen,

I think they responed to this before, perhaps indirectly. I'm pretty
sure the answer is a surprising no - no processor power is used. This
is one of the secrets of Vegas' power...

Happy New Year.
