PluralEyes and Vegas 12

chap wrote on 4/10/2013, 4:58 PM
I have Plural Eyes 2.0.4, and have loved it.

In Version 12 though, nothing seems to work. I just actually loaded a bunch of footage and a bunch of audio, and clicked PluralEyes, and it all came back PluralEyes unsynced.

I opened V11 and loaded the exact same footage, the exact same audio, and ran PluralEyes with the exact same settings, and Viola.

I can use this un-elegant solution going forward, but anyone have any info whether V12 and PluralEyes will get along?

I am using version 1.2.4 and it works great with Vegas 12.

I did have a number of notices on updating and I downloaded an update but when I tried to use it, it asked my for my serial number and when I tried it, it would not accept it. It would ask me if this is the correct serial number and I told it yes. It then asked if I was sure I told it yes but it then told me I needed to purchase the software. So much for a free update!!!

So I kept ignoring the update info and stayed with my current version.

The new version that never worked was from Red Giant.

So as far as Plural eyes is concerned I am staying with the old version.

Apparently red Giant and singular did not do this right.

So much for Red Giant!

I had the same exact experience as VidMus with the same exact results. I put the PE anomaly on the back burner because it works so well in V12 even though PE is not updated.

At some point, if you had v2 of PE from Singular, after Red Giant bought them out, you should have received a note from them to convert your Singular license to a Red Giant license. This would have been around Nov 2012.

Once done, you can download the latest version from Red Giant and with the converted serial number, should have no issues.

I just went through this exercise and all's good with PE and V12.

In fact, I also own their Presto product and it works just fine with V12

YMMV,

Red Giant began charging for the upgrade to PE3 last fall. But it was already working well before that release.

Looking at Red Giant web site, Plural Eyes does not support Sony Vegas Pro. Do you say it does? I like PE and want to get it especially there is 30% off offer now.

Thanks

I just purchased PE3 includes PE2 in it, and works well without any trouble in VP12...

I have version 2.0.4 but wanted to take advantage of the 30% off sale to upgrade to version 3. But as far as I can tell from their website, version 3 is only available for the Mac. Have they stated whether there will be a v3 for Windows?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found a statement on their website that says they are working on it.

Is PE3 30% off, or just the upgrade? I can't find the offer.

Not just for upgrade. The email gives the code NAB2013
