Poll: What is your longest render time?

I am closing in on the last 12 hours of a 44 hour render to .avi. It is a 51 minute concert restoration project. The client had only a VHS tape from the early 90's to work with and It was a dub of a line cut from the perfomance that needed multiple filters to clean it up.

Just curious if you have had similar looonnngggg renders.

I thought about chopping it up into regions and doing a batch render just in case something bad happens but I did a similar one a couple of weeks ago for 32 hours successfully so I'm flying in the face of danger (or stupidity).

Post your longest rendered project. I'm curious!

Well, there's absolute longest, and i've probably had some in the same range as Spot, about a week or more.

Then there's greatest ratio of rendering duration to project duration. On the short end of the scale i've had a 3 hour project that rendered in about 45 minutes. It was DV -> DV, simply a few cuts and some audio enhancements. That's about 1:4. On the long end of the scale i believe i once had a 1minute 52 second project take about 55 hours to render. So that's about 1768:1.

Three days, using a long chain involving Frameserver, AVISynth, and the external MainConcept encoder. The AVISynth filters were the culprits.

1 minute clip.
3 levels of nested veg files.
32 hours.

I just completed a 12 minute clip.
1 level of nested veg.
40 hours.

6 days. A little under 1 hour utilzing film effects and color correction on an M2T file along with some generated media.

My personal brains do render 14209 days now for to get out what's the sense of life. Still rendering, though I've setup a huge renderfarm to help get this one finished one day.

I once spent a quiet evening with Rudolph for I'd say, maybe, 5 hours. Not much going on until the 2nd bottle of chianti....
