Can one of you fine folks tell me if one of the effects supplied with movie studio platinum has an effect that mimics an on-camera polarizing filter? Also is there written guide to the what the various effects do or does one just have to try them all?
thanks!
You can't really mimic a polarizing filter after the image has been captured. A polarizing filter alters the radial orientation of the light waves coming in through the lens, but the orientation is not recorded, so there is no way after-the-fact to produce the same effect. This must be done before the light hits the film/ccd/other recording device.
