Pool media CD #,

After upgrading from VideoFactory to Screen Blast, I have a hard time to remember a 9 digits CD # ...in the media pool, I can have 20 songs listed.
It was so simple in VideoFactory...When I extracted a song, I just named the CD , the song , the track #.....and it would appear in the media pool. I could use this song as many times I wanted with the name reappearing on the time line.
Why can't I NAME the CD title track in ScreenBlast so it appears in the media pool?
I can't rename the CD # in the media pool, with right click.
I found the way to rename the CD track # on the timeline... but I have to redo it everytime I want to reuse it....after searching in properties....in every CD extract...
A 9 digits # doesn't trick my tired mind ...a name does the trick though....
Is there help for my short memory?

I don't know if there's a fix in ScreenBlast, but you could try an alternative ripper such as CDex. It gives you a lot of control over file naming, and it's free.

When I capture audio from CD, I get a dialog box where I can specify the file name (and location). It defaults to an ugly number I agree, but you can change this before you create the file. Then the new name is also used in the Media pool.

If you've already created the file with the ugly name, you can rename the file in windows, then add that file to the media pool (and delete the one with the ugly name from the media pool).

i was looking through preferences today and on the cd tab i notice there is a checkbox for "autoname extracted tracks". perhaps you have this checked by mistake?
