Possible to have a menu button play a sound?

For the DVD I'm creating, I'd like a sound to play when the user selects something from the menu, before the actual item begins to play.

Is that possible?

Yes and no.
Not directly like a button down click but you can lead into your item.

Take a snapshot of your menu screen and use it for the very beginning of your
item. Include your audio such as "click" or "swish" etc. as the audio.

Alternate method make up multiple playlists and have the click video as first
item in each list.

I've also seen DVDs, usually instructional types, that play a tone as each button is selected, separate from whatever happens when you press enter or play. Done as already posted, auto-play button -> menu page or vid with audio (& usually some sort of highlight flare) ->auto run at audio finish -> duplicate menu page.
