Possible to program a completely new shortcut in Pro 19?

Can I create a completely new keyboard shortcut? I know I can change access for an existing shortcut, assigning it to a different sequence of key strokes. But for some functions -- such as "Ignore all missing files and leave them offline," no shortcuts currently exists. Can I create one from scratch? Thanks.

Yes, you can create new shortcuts. No, you cannot create on for "Ignore all missing files and leave them offline," because that is not one of the options to be assigned to a keypress.

Thank you. So that means that the only "options to be assigned to a keypress" are those that Vegas has decided at useful, and so are already assigned to default keypresses? (That is, the approximately 300 listed in the Vegas Pro shortcut PDF?) So I can only reassign existing keypress sequences to different (custom) keypresses?

No. There are many options under Options - Customize Keyboard that are not assigned to a keypress which you can then assign. One example is scripts you've added to your system. But there are many others too.

You can also try modifying the keyboard file (keyboard.ini) in the Appdata folder, It not very difficult to figure out the coding.
C:\Users\--user name--\AppData\Roaming\VEGAS Pro\19.0\keyboard.ini
Just make a back-up copy of it first in case it gets seriously corrupted.
I do not think you can create a "Ignore all missing files" command though.
