Possible VMS9/ObjectDock Conflict

This is regarding VMS9.0b and ObjectDock 1.90.

I had been capturing DV video just for for a long time. Then one day I was only able to capture audio but not video.

I traced it back to Stardock's ObjectDock. Once I closed ObjectDock, I was able to capture correctly again.

I did not need to uninstall ObjectDock--I just needed to close it.

ObjectDock doesn't seem to conflict with any other functionality of VMS--just the capturing part. It also doesn't conflict with DVD-A4.5.

I just thought I would toss this out there in case other people are having problems they can't quite figure out.

As much as I love Stardock's CEO and friend of mine, Brad, ObjectDock is a hack. And hacks are always problematic. In this case, it seems that ObjectDock is taking away all the DirectX resources you need for video capture -- or something to that effect. Maybe you can play with ObjectDock's preferences to slow it down, that might free resources for Vegas.

Ya, I tried messing with the settings as part of my troubleshooting to no avail unless I quit the little app completely.

It's not the biggest deal in the world, just a nusiance thing.
