Possibly silly request

I typically browse the forum using the Search feature
and looking what's been posted over the last few days.
Unlike the normal forum's chronological listing, the Search
results don't show the Vegas employee icon. Is there
a way to have this show up so I can focus on Sonic Foundry
employee responses (and not have to memorize peoples
names?)
See, I told you it was probably silly.
(If this takes time from getting Vegas Audio 2.0 or
a 24 bit Sound Forge done then don't worry about it!)

Hi, Brett
You can easily tell which posts belong to Sonic Foundry employees:
they are the ones that never directly address the topic!
And when you have legitimate questions, they either erase your posts,
or just ban you from the forum, like they did to Bruce Swanson & Larry
Lutz (and they will probably do to me, after this post!). Other people
like Irvin Gomez just get insulted for raising legitimate arguments.
This is just a forum for "ass-kissing" musicians-wannabes that will be
happy to pay for their upgrade as long as the get to "beta test" Sonic
Foundry's latest scam. Sad to say, but I'm looking forward to other
software solutions for my recording (I do audio, exclusively); it's
time cut my losses...

Fred:

You are the perfect example of the wannabe musician, always playing
the groupie, kissing ass and not understanding the real issues(too
much heroin, perhaps?). Who told you, asshole, that attacking me is
going to erase the facts? Go lick your dead mother's pussy and leave
me alone. VegasPro is not "pro" recording software no matter what your
lice-infested little head tells you in the darkness of your "dream
studio". I won't elaborate on the issues, because they were detailed
by Bruce Swanson & Irvin Gomez (BTW, Gomez got you good with that
offer. Remember?...), and you wouldn't understand them anyway.
I will express my opinion and there's nothing you can do about it,
fag.

Guys, come on! This is getting way out of hand. For Christ's sake it
is only software!!!!!

Not to sound too corporate, but this is the term aggreement you sign
up for:

"As a registered user of this service, you agree not to post messages
that are knowingly false, abusive, hateful, obscene, sexual or
personal in nature, or in violation of any law. "

Please, follow these simple guidelines. If you don't like our policy
on these issues, fine, then go away. I will take all the heat on this
issue, and not loose a moments sleep over it.

You can say anything you want about our products, but use better
judgement on the language. We are not kids here, but there are people
that take offense to such language.

You talk about professionalism, and how our products are not
professional. Fine. You are entitled your opinion. Tell us our
software sucks! I don't care about things like that.

Please tone down the personal attacks or take them offline. Talking
about doing things to dead moms is not appropriate. It serves no
purpose. These msgs will be deleted! If this makes us unfair, so be
it. There is no place for such crap in the forums.

Truth is this is Sonic Foundry's forum and space. If we don't like
something, we don't have to give you any reasons. If you don't like
our censorship, fine. Go away and don't come back. If you can't play
by our rules, this is just too damn bad. This is a peer support
forum, nothing more, nothing less. It is not intended for name
calling or other crap.

We could easily be more draconian about these forums, but we havn't
to date. I have no problem with getting this whole damn thing shut
down if it doesn't end - now!

Contrary to some peoples belief, the web/internet is not a do
anything medium. We have the right to control the content on our web
site. Period. No questions or warnings need to be given. You agreed
to the terms of conduct. We will start to enforce them. If you don't
like it, go and piss in somebody elses pond about how terrible we are.

Who's gonna believe you are anything but a destitute musician-wannabe?
You can't even write! Look at that Freudian slip "... if i was an A&R
rep for Atlantic...and your MY next demo...".
What a sad little creep, this Fred.

PS: CoolEdit may actually be a slightly better product than Vegas Pro.
Below Pro Tools and Nuendo, everything gets a little hazy...

I ask for an icon in the Search section and I start WWIII?
I apologize for bringing up such a sensitive subject ;)

Again:
Is it possible to update the Search results so that I can easily
determine the Sonic Foundry employee responses?

Personal gripe that has no technical merit follows:
(And to be honest, I'd prefer some MORE censoring in this forum.
I don't care about Pro Tools or Manuendo or whatever product is
out there or people's opinions on how much better or worse it is
than Vegas. I've done my homework and I've chosen to use Vegas
over all the other programs, so no amount of flames are going to
change that. I get paid to use the program and like this forum as
someplace to get quick answers, although I'm getting tired of the
religious wars that have erupted here over audio editors and I'm
about to quit coming to this forum. Not because of SF staff but
because of the people who post here. Man, I hope this doesn't
start WWIV.)

With all the ranting, I forgot to answer.

No, you can't. (At least I couldn't figure out a way.)

Just wanted to add my $2 on the recent topic "people who seek
attention by dissing SF products in SF forums"

Personally, I don't think censorship is really the way to go, but
when entries in the forum start to look like the ones posted by mr's
Gomez and Harriman, I'm bound to agree with Peter Haller. This is too
much crap for people who just want to make use of the chance to
communicate with the actual developers of a product, and with other
users.

I for one think this is invaluable, and I get scared everytime Peter
Haller or other SF employees mention the shut-down of this forum.
Please, SF, don't let this get to you, this forum is way too
important to become ruined by these morons.

I think the better way to get rid of the likes of Gomez & Harriman is
to either tear their paper walls down with plain facts and a chilled
temper, and if that doesn't help, pure silence always works best. We
mustn't forget that a lot of people showing these tendencies are just
looking for attention, and if they won't get it here, they'll go look
somewhere else.

I have a slightly different point of view--- an opinion that is not
that of Sonic Foundry but my own. Disclaimer in place I shall
proceed.

When I moderate a forum (something I have not been asked to do for
SF), I treat it like I am hosting a backyard cookout. The idea is to
let people have their conversations and maybe have a little fun along
the way. What I don't tolerate in my house is people attacking my
guests or being disruptive of other's conversations. I don't require
that my guests all like each other but I do insist that they treat
each other with respect. If they don't like that then they are
welcome... nay, encouraged .. to go away. I don't enjoy hostility
and it does not aid my education to be exposed to it. Since there
are only 2 real reasons for me to read this forum (to enjoy myself or
to learn something) hostility serves no purpose here. Nor does it
serve any purpose at a cookout.

Some of the 'opinions' expresed in this forum are, in my humble
opinion, (and maybe I am too much of an old fogey for this crowd)
fine examples of very bad manners and horrible conversational
skills.

If Sonic Foundry left it up to me, yes, this forum would likely see a
lot more moderation happening. Attach whatever ugly names you want
to it but I see no valid reason for allowing personal attack threads
to continue.

Again, that is just my opinion and has nothing at all to do with
Sonic Foundry policy whatsoever.

Hey Victor,

I understand you're right to posting your opinions here....but
everytime I read something from you lately....you're always arguing
in a condescending way. Slamming others here seems to be your main
goal.

Now I may have small a beef with SF in general (believe all Vegas
audio updates should be just that...an free update), but I don't
attack others here with it. I speak directly to them moderaors like
a man and that is that.

Personally, I feel your debates belong in a "general audio"
forum...as all apps have their pitfalls.

Why don't you direct your "Vegas cons" agruments towards them and see
how you fare?

They may help you or boot you...one of the two.

The difference between you and me is that I DON'T have a beef with
SonicFoundry. You do.
Now, if my arguing seems condescending to you, then you should just
ignore my posts.
Your opinions can't be taken too seriously. After all, aren't you the
famous "$600.00 man" in Irvin Gomez's posts? A sucker like you
(the only person EVER to pay $600 for VegasPro!!!)can't expect others
to follow his advice.
