avi compressed with cinepak is the one format that almost
any machine, no matter how old, will be able to play back.
If your friends and family have newer machines, you might
try the .MV templates- you can get really good qulaity with
those, and as long as the users have Windows Media Player
7.0 or later, they'll be able to watch your videos. If they
don't have the player they can downloait free from
Microsoft.
