PowerPoint MPEG in Windows 2000

After loading the Ligos plug-in, I can no longer play MPEG-1 files in PowerPoint. All other media types seem to work just fine. I have tried the fix to win.ini and system.ini, but it appears that this does not work with Windows 2000. I need to be able to run these files. Please help!!!

Dunno if this will work or not, but try re-installing Windows Media Player 7. That should set the default Windows codec back to Microsoft's.

Thank you for your suggestion. Actually, I tried that one and also tried reinstalling PowerPoint and used the sfc.exe (System File Checker) to reload files in Windows 2000... Still does not work. Any other ideas??? Thanks.
