Pre-Rendered Saves my Skin!

Well, completed my Diwali project . . went to Render to New Track. Got a HUGE error failure. I calmed down and counted to 10 . . . okay, Grazie, give the machine a chance . . pre-rendered the areas that the Render To New Track got constipated on and it worked. Tell you peeps, it was a bit "sticky" there for a moment . . When it was pre-rendering, there was a mass of work going on. This was mostly likey the issue when it was attempting to Render to New Track. Any thoughts that PR does this - ie helps to get the thing to Render to New Track? If so, I'll use this as a "fall-back" position in the future.

Seeyah!

Grazie

Hey Grazie, any parameters on your project that might give us a heads-up. What was it that forced the PR in order to save the final render.

Congrats on your project. DGrob

Hiyah Grobsie! -

" . . . any parameters on your project . . . " you asking what I was asked to do?

Sorry mate, but what is, "PR in order to save the final render." I must know this, but it isn't computing - yet!

Yeah! Thanks for the Congrats . . . Sorry i didn't get back sooner. I was actually delivering it to the client. They loved it! -YEAH! . . Looks like I'll some work from it ;-)

Rex - Any view of it? I'm a bit stypend as this is a Public Organisation . . . . Your [project sounds wonderful. I love the Sitar. You must have been able to gert some super sounds and shots? Did the tamblas come across well?

Hey ho . . off we go . . again . . .

Grazie

I think I got it. Render to new track was overwhelmed by certain "heavy, complex" portions of the program. Pre-rendering those portions allowed to RTNT to complete???

Lotta snow up here this year. Gonna be either on the hill or on the Vegas.

Yes. At the point where the PR was to happen I may have had something like 10 active tracks. This with clips having Chroma Keying; Gaussian Blur; Velocity changes; Colour Corrections and PNGs flying in and out. All of this stuff hadn't been rendered at all. I suppose this was causing too much math/calculation going on even for Vegas & my 3.2ghtz.

No snow here in London - yet! It has been getting colder and colder. This has been reflected by the betting "odds" for a white Christmas have been getting shorter and shorter.

Oh well, back to office work . . ..
