Preferences Not Saved

I've just started using Studio 6 and when I go to the preferences page and change an option, it reverts back to the default when I view the page again. There is no "apply" button or anything at the bottom, just the default button. Is there something wrong with the program? I've re-installed it and it's still the same. Can anyone help?

there is (supposed to be) an apply button at the bottom of the preferences window that remains "grayed out" until the user makes a change in the options. once you make a change this button at the bottom will become "active" and get darker(change color). click the apply button and your new settings will be saved. If you aren't seeing this apply button at all - not grayed out or dark I would think that your files are corrupt for the program. if this doesn't help you you might want to report your problem to Sony via the link. I don't suppose you have any unusual color settings in your windows display colors? did you download this program or install it off a disk? I don't suppose you have an anti spyware program that resists or prevents changes to your software? when you installed the program did you have all that kind of stuff turned off or disabled?

The anti-virus & firewall was on. I'll try re-installing it without it, but I'm not real optimistic. I suppose the options in the preferences able to be changed in other menus in the program...is this a big deal if I can't get the "apply" button to appear?
Thanks for your quick response

I didn't answer all your questions. Everything else seems to work fine. The program was on the disk. I updated to 6a but that didn't help either.

I'm going to admit to being a little silly here. I looked carefully at the preferences page and moved it as high as I could, there at the bottom, I could barely see the edges of two buttons. They're obscurred by the taskbar. I couldn't resize the page, but I can still click on the edge of the left button. It now saves the options. thanks for your help. I did re-install the program without virus or firewall. I'd like to think that did the trick, but they were probably there all the time.

you might try a higher resolution for your display (if your puter can do it well) . it might give ya some more room to move stuff around
