I've been rendering to AVI format in Vegas and then having DVDA do the MPEG-2 conversions when it prepares the DVD. Is there any reason to render directly to MPEG-2 and AC
Thanks!
Yes and no. It is definitely EASIER as you only have to render once and you can vary the bitrate on the optimize box to get a decent fit.
However, you have more rendering controls in Vegas AND, if DVDA receives already rendered files, the process of creating the DVD is MUCH faster (especially if you make a mistake and need to redo the DVD a couple of times).
