Preferred preferences

Thank you for this update. VP21-300 working great on 10bit 422 now with the mxcompoundplug.dll in 32bit floating point.

What should the File I/O preferences be set to to make best use of the new update:

Enable legacy AVC decoding
Enable experimental HEVC decoding

I see on the task bar icon there is an option to start Vegas Pro 21 with Prefs Reset.
What does this reset? I dont want to try it unless it takes too much to get back back to previous setup!

You should NOT user the legacy AVC decoding, nor the experimental HEVC decoding - if it works.

The new default setting for the decoding is the GPU, so for example the nvidia GPU. If you have an i-GPU - this can work better for types of files, please try that if necessary.

Enable direct GPU import path should be enabled, since this activates the new video enginee.
