prepare DVD

When preparing a project and attempting to burn it on DVD, I get an error message that there are problems writing the DVD: the system is running low on memory. I have no other programs running.
System specs:
Intel(R) Core(TM)2Duo CPU
E6850 @ 3GHZ
3GHz, 3GB of RAM
Surely the system should be capable of processing a DVD?

Sometimes this memory are refers to Harddrive space. Do you have plenty of space left on the drive you are using as the DVD prep drive?
