Presentaion Mode

Hi all,
I need to produce a medical DVD were the doc can present still images and videos in a way so as the chapter does not progress to the next chapter until the remote on the DVD player is pressed.

I know this can be done as he has brought me an example, that was authored on a Mac.

Is this possible with this DVDA?

Thanks

Dan

Unfortunately as you cannot control end actions in DVDA you cannot quite achieve this. However you could create them as separate videos. Once each one is played it goes back to the main menu and then you can select the next video. Problem is:
A) Not what he want exactly, more button pushing
B) I don't think you can even get it to highlight the next menu item, so as you go through the video you need more and more button pushing to get to the next clip or worse still you don't really even know whatthe next one really is unless you have a text at the end of the each one telling you which one to select next.
Not very professional!

This is what I thought, I guess I have to send him to an outside provider.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Actually....there is a way to do this - of sorts.

Make the stills, or the video the menu item.

Put forward/back buttons to go to the next/previous menu page and this way - the video plays and stops waiting for the next button to be pushed.

The downside to this is....it's linear. Only going forward or backward.

And...there is a finate amount of space to use for menu items.

But it could work.
