Preserve pitch when stretching clips...or not

Howdy,
Ordinariliy I want to preserve the pitch but not so in this case. I went to options/pref/editing and unchecked "preserve pitch when stretching clips" and clicked apply but it still preserves the pitch. Am I missing something?
TIA,
Randy

In V5, shifting pitch is now accomplished by using the + or - keys on your keyboard (not the 10key)
Hold CTRL for finite control

Well actually I found after I reopened the project that stretching the clips they did indeed change pitch accordingly (the sped up video matches the sped up audio). But now you have me curious Spot; I'm guessing you mean if you have "allow acidized audio clips" (or whatever the phrase is) checked, you can do this right?
Thanks,
Randy

As far as i know it works on all audio clips, obviously the better the quality(ie wav vs compressed mp3) the better the results.
