Prev and Next Keys

Sorry for a dumb question, but where are the "prev" and "next" keys on a Windows keyboard?

I'm trying to find them since the shortcuts for moving up and down between selected tracks, besides being Alt+Shift+up arrow and Alt+Shift+down arrow are supposed to be the prev and next keys, which sound easier to hit, if only I could find them.

Thanks.

shortcuts for ... are supposed to be the prev and next keys

According to who or what? Would help if we knew the context.

There is no such thing as a "prev" or "next" keyboard on a standard Windows keyboard. There are, however, the arrow keys -- including Up and Down which can be used to navigate between tracks in Vegas (when a track header is selected).

I can select a track with my curser (mouse) then if I use the up and down arrows I can cycle through the tracks

Sorry for not making the context clear, I mean per Vegas Pro 8's Customize Keyboard shortcut panel.

The keys for TrackView.Track.CursorUp are Alt+Shift+Up arrow or Prev. The keys for TrackView.Track.CursorDown are Alt+Shift+Down arrow or Next.

Vegas came up with the keys called "Prev" and "Next", not me.

The other solutions mentioned require selecting the headers first, which isn't useful for what I am trying to do. I want an easy way to put in dissolves using shortcuts, and since the "/" key on the Num pad will only do it for one track at a time, I need shortcuts to jump between back and forth between tracks.

Thanks.

Hm. I wonder if it's for them internet / multimedia keyboards. Some of those have keys mapped to media player functions -- including rewind, fast-forward, previous, and next.

At any rate, just change the shortcut to whatever you want. Then you won't have to worry about what Vegas meant. ;-)

Yeah, that must be it.

Anyway, that is what I ended up doing. I never really used the shortcuts mapped to the * and - Num pad keys, so that was the perfect spot to put them to go with the / key.

DEC (anybody remember them?) keyboards have Prev and Next keys. Normally they get mapped to the equivalent functions that Home and End do on IBM compatable keyboards.
