Preventing Rescaling

I have resized a SD 16:9 clip outside of Vegas (I'm working in V5). When I drop it into the timeline, V5 wants to stretch the 606X404 clip to fill the 720X480 frame. I remember dealing with this years ago, but for the life of me I cannot remember what I did to prevent the clip from being rescaled by Vegas.

I simply want the clip to sit in the 720X480 frame at the resized 606X404 without truncation to 720X480 - so I may add a graphical/info border to the finished render.

Does anyone know the way to achieve this?

Thanks in advance!

Make sure "Maintain aspect ratio" is checked
In Track Motion, type 404 into the Height box.
That's one of the easiest ways to float your video, there are many other methods.

Hey MV -

Doesn't that resize the video again though?

No, it keeps it at its original size as far as I know.
