Guys,
Is there any hardware (external) that speeds up the preview?

I know going with a duo-core2 is a measure I should take but if I get a 2.4 duo-core2 is this faster than my aged northwood 3.0 HT?

also is there external hardware that will process info to speed up the preview or am I STUCK WITH SLOOOOOWWWW?

once I add effects and stuff my preview just DROPS AND DROPS AND BOTTOMS OUT to lik 1.2 and sometimes lower FPS.

Anyone, anyone?
