I've been working on a DVD for a while, and was checking a burned copy when I noticed that the subtitles had vanished... no more subtitle track on the music/video compilation. Weird, but not a huge problem as I had an older saved version of the project (with a different file name) with all of the subtitles, so I opened up two instances of DVDA and copied all of the subtitles from the old version to the new one, and redid the few changes I'd made to the subtitles since switching to the new version. Well, when burning the new version again, the subtitles worked, but they reflected the old project's subtitles, which had some errors that I corrected in the new version of the project.
If I preview the new version, everything is correct. But when I burn a DVD, the subtitles aren't right. I'm trying to do a fresh "prepare", as I think that might have something to do with it. But regardless, it's frustrating that the preview wouldn't match the burn. Anyway, I'll report back after re-preparing the project and see if that does the trick.
