preview doesn't reflect ch. marker placement

just set all my chapter markers in DVDA exactly where i want them (1 page, 10 markers). but when i preview the scene selection menu and test the chapter(scene) links. each chapter starts about 2 seconds later than where i placed the marker (except the 1st one which comes in a bit early --where the start point green marker was set actually). also the green marker jumps around every time i come back to the timeline from previewing. i'm also curious why that won't stay put but it's the least of my concerns right now.

why would the preview not accurately reflect where i put the ch. markers? i've saved and loaded the markers.

appreciate any help

Chapter markers can only be placed on I frames. If you place the marker somewhere that isn't an I frame, DVD Architect will move it to the closest I frame for you. Normally I frames occur every 15 frames, which is usually half a second, so the movement is almost never more than 1/4 of a second from where you placed it. Moving 2 seconds does sound like something else unexpected is going on.

I suppose it's possible to render a file with fewer I frames spaced farther apart, but i don't think Vegas Studio / Architect Studio allow this.
