Preview Framerate Test

I started out thinking this test could be a way to compare video cards framerate performance, but once I saw my P4 1.3ghz pegged at 100 CPU load I realized that it would be more of a general overview of what different systems can do. I guess if we get a few systems with the same CPU and OS, then the graphics cards could be compared. HD performance has zero affect on this test.
This is not a contest, just info that people can share to help make hardware purchase decisions.
Here we go, the test: (Anybody that has ideas to change this test around, lets hear them).
First off, close all background programs that could affect performance. Next, start a fresh project in Vegas. Go to the options menu/prefs/video and set dynamic RAM preview to 0 MB. Otherwise it's not really an accurate test.
Now drag the "sample text" generated media to the timeline. Drag it out to be 30+ sec. long. Right click drag it to the right just a few seconds from the start. Select "copy here," then "create a new copy of the source media." You should now have a 20+ sec. dissolve between the two events. Left click the generated media icon at the top right of the second event. Delete the work "Sample." Do the same to the first event, but delete the word "Text." You will now have a project that starts off with the word Sample that fades away as the word Text comes on.
To see your preview framerate, right click on the preview window and check the "status bar" line. Your framerate will now show at the end or the display line when you hit play. Look for the lowest framerate as you play thru the dissolve. Make a region and loop it if you want.
My results are as follows:
VGA-360x240 - Best 10.12 * Preview 29.97
VGA-720x480 - Preview 11.51 * Draft 29.97
OHCI-"display at project size" Preview 9.41 * Draft 13.16
OHCI-"unchecked project size setting and reduced window size to 240x160 or smaller - Preview 13.97 (See Holy Moley post)
My system-P4 1.3ghz/128MB RDRAM/Geforce MX2/Windows ME
Look forward to seeing what the 2+ ghz systems can do. Remember to turn off the Dynamic RAM preview feature by setting to 0 MB.
Thanks to everyone that takes part in this.
