I recently had to add a method to capture video directly from a VHS deck. In the past, I was connectedfrom VHS to a DV deck, then into my system, but my DV deck is currently in the shop. I found a convienient device by Pinnacle that connects between the VHS and a USB port, nothing internal. It worked fine and did the job I needed. Today I went from a DV camera into my system just like I did with my DV deck, with a couple of weird twists. My video preview went to about 4 times the size it had been when I used the DV device, the preview window remained the same size when I went back to DV, not a big deal, but not my preference, and, the audio is "choppy" during preview until I start the capture, it then smooths out. The Pinnacle device (audio and video) do not show up in my preferences, and everything is set back to where it was previously. Again, not a huge problem, I can get my work done, but any ideas on how to get back to "normal"?
