Preview not moving

I'm running Vegas Moview Studio Platinum 8.0d. When I play my videos I hear the audio, but the preview stays on the first frame of video. Hard to edit that way. Anyone know how to get it moving?
I'm on Vista Home Edition 64-bit.

If you are editing AVCHD, sometimes even MPEG-2, you will get some stutter in preview.
Best ways to minimize this are:
1) Set preview quality at Preview/Auto
2) Turn off "Scale to fit preview window"
3) Turn off "Simulate Device Aspect"

I fixed this by going to my Project Video Properties and changing the framerate to 60fps. make sure you have an acceptable framerate or playback will be extremely slow.

This is an eight tear old thread you have responded to vegaslover88. What framerate were you using prior to fixing your problem by changing to 60fps?
