Preview not working

Since the latest update for Vegas Pro 8, I can no longer preview video segments from the Project Media or Explorer boxes. I get audio but no video. It was working well before the update. Any suggestions?

It's now previewing in the trimmer. Open the tirmmer and play with it. Search this forum and you'll find the same question asjed every day or so. Nice feature, poor presentation.

Hey Rob, all:

Just found this white paper on Sony's web site about the trimmer enhancements. Coming from Vegas Movie Studio I wasn't a user of the Trimmer, but this description in the white paper is making me think I should start using it:

"In previous versions of Vegas, you'd focus on the In and Out points for each shot. With this workflow, you focus on the Out point for the previous shot at the same time as the In point for the new shot. In other words, the focus is on the edit, not just the shot."
