Preview on External Monitor

I'm using a Canopus ACE DVIO card for capturing and external monitor previews. All works fine.

But I can never get DVD Architect 2.0 to preview to external monitor, though I have it set up the same as in Vegas.

To make matters slightly worse (the feature is something I never need, though I'm confused as to why it isn't working) I can also never get a preview from within Sound Forge 7. Trying external preview first elicits no response, and if I try again, SF7 complains that I don't have an external monitor card connected, though checking the preferences, I clearly have.

What might I be missing, or not doing?

Thanks.

Same here! I'm using Datavideo DAC-2 but same thing: OK in V5, not working at all in DVDA2. Even if I have those two applications running at the same time and switch between.

I've HAD it work in DVDA2 for about 5 minutes. You don't know what you've got till its gone! Damn useful for me as I'm now doing a few DVDs with chinese text and getting the fine horizontal lines of the text to line up with the scan lines makes it look SO much better. This was almost impossible to do before external preview came along in DVDA 2 and now it don't work and I cannot get it back, very wierd.
I've posted this in the DVDA forum as well. At least one other has had the same problem, worked for a brief while, went away so reinstalled DVDA 2, came back again for a while and then died.
I'm using ADVC-300 to drive monitor so it seems 1394 device isn't the issue. Vegas 5 still works fine, very odd.

I had a problem at first but kept messing with it going from ap to ap then it now works super duper. It's one of those little anamolies and it did occurr on the full of the moon when my hot water heater failed and my garage door spring snapped.

Ah, the ole "full-moon-hot-water-heater-failure-garage-door-spring-snapping" feature . . . should have realised !. . Shoot! Don't have a garage! - What now!?!?!

Hum...

No trouble with previewing on an external DVX100 myself. I must switch off Vegas external preview before previewing in Architect, (but the opposite is not true) wich is logical.

I love the new capability of external preview on renders btw.
