When using th epreview on external monitor, I only get the choice of my OHCI 1394 card, and can only view through my DV cam into a VCR etc to a TV. Is there any way of using my graphics card, its GF2 MX400 with twin view. Alternatively, what o I need to do to be able to use the preview , another viseo capture device??(e.g. analogue captur card?). I have treid ultarmon and fiddled around with it, but can the preview window be undocked and dragged to the TV(as a 2nd monitor), resized etc.

Or, as discussed in another post, a matrox card with dual view and zoom, although that might be costly(?)

Thanks

VV External monitor works with DV and certain VFW cards (e.g. DC 30) that do hardware decoding.

Video Capture supports both of those, in addition to an ad hoc full screen mode that can be used with a TV out port.

If you want to output to an analog device you could use Video Capture and some analog display card (e.g. Matrox G400 dual head, or ATI All In Wonder, or any card that supports TV out).

You have to setup the display driver outside of VV or Vidcap to go out its TV output port.

Then you can use Vidcap's Full screen mode, via the Preview Preferences, to playback footage full screen and it should, if you setup your display driver properly, go out to.
