Preview on external television

- I have a Sony PC110e video camera.
- I am using Sony Vegas to edit my footage.

I want to be able to play back the preview on an external tv.

I have connected my pc to my camera via firewire and then my camera is connected via the AV port to the tv. I have tested the camera to tv playback and that works fine but i can't get the footage on my pc to play onto the camera and then onto the tv. In Vegas i have enabled the preview to go to an external device via 1394 but still no joy.
I read in the help file of Vegas that the DV device needs to be able to "pass through" which i have read my camera can. Do you know how to set this up?! Or am i just setting things up wrong?!

Can anyone help??

You have an European version of the PC110. There is some sort of wierd EU law that forced camcorder manufacturers to disable the Firewire inputs. There are web sites which describe how to get around it, but doing so is illegal.

Know what those websites are?! I am now based in South Africa and don't really care what the EU laws are.. besides, its my camera.. :-)

Thx for the info... i checked out www.dv-in.com and it says that my camera is already DV-IN enabled?!? Any ideas how to activate it?! :-/
