Preview opening for DVD-A

For my latest DVD, I wanted to add an opening 30 second mpg before going to the menu. I found out how to do it, but when I go to preview it jumps right to the menu (no opening segment). Is this a limitation of DVD-A 1.0 (and if so, is it corrected in 2.0) or am I missing something. I don't want to have to burn a DVD just to see if the opening is working.

Make sure you are using Preview Disc (as opposed to Preview Current).

Are you telling it to make the 30 sec vid clip your first play?

DID YOU EVER FIGURE OUT WAHT WAS WRONG AND IF SO, HOW DOES ONE add an opening 30 second mpg before going to the menu. PROVIDE THE STEPS.
