preview timeline on tv

I would want to see preview timeline on tv. I can see the preview with firewire cable on mi handycam but I can't see it on my tv. I have a dual head video board. Can sombody help me?

Connect the handicam to the TV? Does the handicam allow passthru?

You may have to change a menu setting on your camcorder to allow the Firewire input to be "passed through" to the analog outputs of the camcorder.

Indeed, what's the brand/model of your cam?
Could be helpful to know if anybody's got the same setup...
