The preview only snaps to set sizes. So you either made it narrower or shorter. Make the preview area larger both directions until it snaps to the larger size. Then you can make it smaller so that it "just fits".

Thank you, but the problem is within the preview area: the (black or white) picture-frame/background is too large and lets a very little space for the video. before changing location of pc, the video was larger with only little space for the picture-frame. Do you have some suggestions about this problem?
thank you again.

Why would moving your PC change the size of the preview window? That simply doesn't make any sense. How much surround space you see at the premeiter of the preview window is controlled by how you size it. Grab ahold of the thin vertical lines just left of the preview area until you see a double bar cursor. Drag as necessary to size. You may need to move the other windows along side it. Also you may need to do the same to adjust the amount of space the tracks take up. Again move over the line above the preview work space until you see the double bar cursor, then while holding down your left mouse push it up or down to adjust the space the preview window takes up. Of course the preview mode quality selector also effects the size.

Try setting your preview quality to "Good (Full)" or "Best (Full)". Then grab a border of the preview tool and drag it out until it's just big enough.

I like to keep the preview window set to "default background" color just because it looks the least like it's part of the picture.

Thanks a lot,
I solved the problem by typing some casual keys (ctrl+shift I think) during launching Vegas.
I learned that often Vegas gives some visualization problems with the preview area, and this absurd way can solve it.
Thank you again.
