Previous Chapter fails on compilation

In DVDA4 I'm creating a DVD that has a single menu page. On the page I have placed a mixture of Music/Video Compilations and single video media items. I want them to play in a certain order. I can control that order with no problem, and control the menu navigation to each item, up, down, right, and left. The user can use "next chapter" on their remote to move through this order easily also -- but "previous chapter" will go from a media item to a music/compilation until it reaches the first "cut" of the music/video compilation and then it WILL NOT go "previous" anymore but only replays the first "cut" of the music/video compilation. If anyone gets what I am talking about or has a suggestion of a work-around or something it would be most welcome!

The only thing you can do is change your expectations.

Next and Prev chapter are very player dependent when moving across media. I would not count on your next chapter behavior to do the same thing on every player, let alone expect to influence what Prev Chapter does when moving across media - though what you're seeing with Prev is probably what most players do.

Thanks Scott -- I was hoping there might be a work-around, but outside of re-rendering all the cuts in the compilations into one larger media file (with Chapter markers embedded)..there does not seem to be any tools to fix this little problem.

If it helps at all, as Scott posted don't count on the use of Prev & Next, building in whatever navigation aids you feel necessary. For the times it will work, you can control behavior between titles by inserting dummy videos with end actions pointing to your desired result.
